Conclusion: This is the first LDR brachytherapy study to analyse outcomes according to the location of the DIL. MVA results suggest that both the dose received by, and the location of, the DIL were predictive of BCF in this patient cohort. These findings suggest dose-escalation to the DIL in LDR prostate brachytherapy may improve patient outcomes in the treatment of prostate cancer.
