Results: Of the 140 people who completed the CPD questionnaire, 61 people were TR’s and 41 were student TR’s. Of those 75% rated the podcast as excellent and 25% rated the podcast as good. 100% submitted a reflective piece of work, ranging from 600 words to 1056 words. Some of the qualitative data clearly highlighted the impact of this CPD on their practice. ‘How important the illusion of choice is for people in having autonomy, even though choices might be limited, it is so important. Never considered this before!’ ‘Learnt some practical tips. How acidic some medications and supplements can be. How important it is to time teeth brushing, and how to advise patients e.g. soft toothbrush and low abrasive toothpaste if they have a sore mouth.’ '...the importance of support for family members experiencing grief. Know it is missing in our service.' ‘I had never considered my role in offering prehabilitation and rehabilitation and yet now as a result of this CPD I am going to implement lots of elements into my day to day practice.’ Conclusion: Podcasting and social media is a free, quick and easy way to access CPD, which can impact positively on clinical practice and therefore help to improve patient care and experience.
