RTT - Service evaluation, quality assurance and risk management

ESTRO 2025

Actions included the implementation of proactive DLP assessment prior to CT scanning for all patients, altering scan parameters if possible to reduce DLP to within 10% of reference. Consultants must also specify exact parameters when protocol exceeds routine scan parameters. Conclusion: Annual review of DRLs and application of continuous quality improvement plans ensure good practice in the absence of national DRLs to audit against. We currently have four years’ CT data in our newly established centre. Annual review of radiotherapy CT protocols and the cycle of annual quality improvement has enabled us to optimise CT dose, promoting patient safety. References: 1.
