Results: For each workflow, 24 patients were evaluated, resulting in 92 and 67 treatments for the MRI-Linac and Virtual MR Linac workflows, respectively. Total treatment times using the Hybrid MRI-Linac workflow averaged 45 minutes, with continuous machine occupancy. In contrast, the Virtual MR-Linac workflow had a significantly longer average total treatment time of 99 minutes, of which the simulation MRI and Linac were occupied for only 14 and 15 minutes, respectively. The adaptation process in Virtual MR-Linac took an average of 70 minutes (range: 29 to 164 minutes), largely due to troubleshooting and waiting times, which account for the duration gap with the MRI-Linac workflow (Figure 2).
