Conclusion: This is the first study evaluating RT-planning in PCD-CT images. PCD-CT can be integrated in the radiotherapy workflow for very complex cases such as HNC patients. Dose calculation on ED images is precise also in the presence of metal implants due to their lower sensitivity to high-density structures and has the advantage of reduced QA procedures due to a universal, scanner-independent calibration curve.
