overestimation of radiotherapy needs and suboptimal validation of surgical margins. In addition, none of these LLMs were able to suggest genomic tests to discuss omitting chemotherapy in N1 post-menopausal women, based on the findings of the RxPONDER trial, which represents another limitation.

Conclusion: LLMs, particularly Claude3-Opus and GPT4-Turbo, showed promising accuracy in suggesting treatment options for early breast cancer, approaching expert-level performance in several domains. While limitations exist, these findings suggest potential for LLMs to augment MDT decision-making processes. Further prospective studies with specialized medical LLMs could enhance clinical implementation, and additional work on other types of malignancies would participate to generalizability of these findings. Nonetheless, this study already provides evidence supporting the potential integration of LLMs as decision support tools in oncology MDTs, potentially improving efficiency while maintaining high standards of care.
