Sensory disturbances in the breast area, axilla, arm, or hand were reported by 278 (33%) of the survivors, with the breast area (20%) or axilla (13%) being the most common. Furthermore, 633 (75%) reported pain within the last 7 days, with the shoulder (34%) and back (35%) being the most common. Of these, 471 (75%) survivors believed that their pain was related to other circumstances than BC treatment. With levels varying from moderate to severe, 281 (33%) survivors reported insomnia, 166 (19%) fear of cancer recurrence, 98 (12%) cognitive impairment, and 62 (6%) depressive symptoms within the last 7 days (Table 1).

Conclusion: Self-reported satisfaction with the results of surgery and RT was high. General biopsychosocial late effects were common in both cohorts even more than ten years after primary treatment.
