highlighting a notable difference between the PBI and WBI groups.
Conclusion: This study shows that the use of adjuvant radiotherapy in early-stage breast cancer patients may approximately double the risk of developing lung cancer during the remaining lifetime in Korean patients. To decrease this risk, PBI should be preferred over WBI whenever clinically indicated. Also, the lowest possible dose should be used for both PBI and WBI, with planning focused on minimizing lung exposure.
