Conclusion: While the incidence of myelopathy is low for re-irradiation of non-spinal cord tumors, our meta-analysis demonstrates a significant correlation with increasing cumulative doses delivered to the spinal cord. These results could guide radiation oncologists and inform patient decisions while considering the spinal cord as a dose-limiting organ in re-irradiation.
