Conclusion: Even with advanced radiotherapy techniques, risk of acute GI toxicity in treating LACC remains. Bowel V40Gy, body V50Gy, boosting of para-aortic nodes and elective para-aortic irradiation are associated with risk of acute GI toxicity, indicating relevance of conformal treatment planning and minimization of bowel V40Gy and body V50Gy. Baseline GI symptoms, smoking, age, co-morbidity, and previous pelvic/abdominal surgery are contributing factors and intensified toxicity management strategies should be provided to these patients at higher risk of toxicity.
