Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs)

Memoranda of Understanding on science, education, membership are an important tool for ESTRO to strengthen the collaboration with other societies in the field of oncology. In 2018, ESTRO signed the following new MoUs: • PTCOG, Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group • AAPM, American Association of Physicists in Medicine • Practical arrangements agreement with IAEA, the International Atomic Energy Agency • IASLC, International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer • ESOI, European Society of Oncologic Imaging • ACPSEM, Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine

The European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE)

In the frame of the EU Joint Action on Rare Cancers (JARC), the collaboration with SIOPE continues. The group of experts, where ESTRO representatives are included, is monitoring the RT paediatric guidelines availability and the departments in EU providing RT to children. The project is continuing in 2019.

ESTRO supported the World Cancer Research Day, 24th September 2018, a global action to support research on cancer. The campaign is in collaboration with many oncology partners. World Cancer Research Day (WCRD)
