CNS Tumors (glioma)- Conclusions

• Proton therapy can reduce the risk of early and late side effects in LGG and impact on QoL and cognitive functions. More prospective trials are needed.

• Despite the physical and biological advantages, proton and carbon ion therapy has not substantially changed prognosis in HGG thus far. We need to wait for results of ongoing studies and new study design possibly including new drugs.
