Proton Therapy for loco-regionally advanced Breast Cancer

Rationale and Primary goals:

➢ Provide maximum sparing of heart and coronary arteries – thus reducing incidence of severe cardiac morbidity and cardiac death ➢ Reduce integral volume of normal tissue exposure to RT, thus reducing incidence of Second malignancy. Secondary Goals: ➢ Proton Therapy permits dose coverage of volumes without compromise – possibly improved local control ??

➢ Improved Quality of Life
