It has been consistently established, that particle therapy reduces the integral volume of normal tissue irradiated – the “low-moderate” dose bath compared to photons. (example: 10-30 Gy in case of H&N cancer, 20 Gy in Lung Cancer, 10-30 Gy in CNS Tumors ) But you think there is not really clinical proof that in adult patients the dose bath matters – that it will impact quality of life or will cause other long term side effects.
