• Rectal cancer radiation is to improve local control; and may be used for attempts at organ preservation as well • Increasing evidence with short course radiation may change IGRT needs/approaches • Plan of the day approach is feasible for rectal cancer using different margins off the planning CT based on rectal filling • MR guided radiation may facilitate concurrent boosts for organ preservation and unresectable lymph node disease
