For 3D, IMRT, and VMAT treatments, target and normal volumes were typically contoured by physicians. Almost all trainee respondents reported contouring target (95%) and normal tissue volumes (98%). Targets were also contoured by medical physicists (in Malaysia and Indonesia) while normal volumes were also contoured by medical physicists (in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Myanmar), and therapists (in Malaysia and Indonesia). For consultants, the median time spent contouring targets ranged from 15-29 minutes (Breast, Gynecologic, Palliative) to more than 60 minutes (Head/Neck) (Figure 1). The median time for contouring normal volumes (Figure 2) ranged from 0-14 minutes (Palliative) and between 0-14 and 15-29 minutes (Breast) to 30-59 minutes (Head/Neck, Pediatric). Trainees spent more time contouring target and normal volumes for all sites except Breast and Palliative. Both consultants and trainees contoured median 6-10 normal organs for all sites except Gynecologic (median 1-5 for consultants; median between 1-5 and 6-10 for trainees), and Head/Neck (median 11 15 for both). Interest in contouring education and training was 100%. The top three areas of interest for contouring education overall were Head/Neck (86%), Thoracic/Lung (40%) and CNS disease sites (39%), similar between consultants and trainees. The highest priority for all was Head/Neck. Interest in education and training for plan evaluation was 98% overall, and 100% among trainees. The top three interests for plan evaluation education overall were Head/Neck (85%), CNS (42%) and Thoracic/Lung disease sites (36%), while Breast was the second most common interest for consultants (41%).
