FIG 1. A film plane is tilted with respect to the axes of the DICOM data.

Results:

FIG 2. Gamma pass rate (5%/1mm) results for all films.

Measurements have been conducted at 28 sites to-date. Early attempts at 6 sites did not include reference films and these data were excluded for not meeting dosimetric QC. From the 3 clinical cases, each site was permitted treat up to 6 audit cases, by using multiple beam energies, or delivery modalities (for example dynamic conformal arc therapy (DCAT) and VMAT). 89 audit cases and 219 films have been measured. 12 films did not meet the 90% gamma pass rate.

Conclusion:

We have demonstrated that film is an appropriate dosimeter to for auditing cranial SRS treatments in the Australia, New Zealand region. Results show the majority of audit cases measured are meeting the 90% gamma pass rate.
