The inclusion criteria applied were:

a) studies published in open access,

b) studies published in article format,

c) studies published in English,

d) studies published between 2013 and 2023.

And the exclusion criteria used were:

e) studies not related to the research topic.

Results:

In this phase, the search equation "IGRT" AND "protocols" was entered, obtaining a total of 128 documents. After this process, the inclusion criteria were applied a) studies published in open access, b) studies published in article format, c) studies published in English, and d) studies published between 2013 and 2023. This process eliminated 87 documents. Finally, with exclusion criterion e) studies not related to the research topic, 32 documents were obtained. Regarding the analysis of the temporal evolution, the scarcity of studies developed throughout the years covered by this study stands out. Specifically, a single publication is observed in 2016 and 2017. However, there is a peak in the years 2018 and 2022; followed by the years 2014 and 2020.

The following figure (Figure I) shows the temporal evolution of the studies analyzed.

With respect to the geographic distribution of the studies, the United States predominates (14 studies) followed by Saudi Arabia with 4 studies. Other studies are distributed in a wide variety of areas such as Australia and Scotland with two studies and the rest with only one study.
