Chest Radiographs Predict the Benefit of MHD Reduction Using DIBH in Left Sided Breast Cancer

Purpose/Objective:

To correlate the heart's parameters measured from CXR with the mean heart dose difference and to identify factors associated with a mean heart dose difference of ≥0.9 Gy when comparing Free-Breathing (FB) and DIBH techniques.

Material/Methods:

The retrospective study enrolled all female patients aged 18-70 diagnosed with left-sided breast cancer, who underwent either breast-conserving surgery or mastectomy and receive 3D conformal radiotherapy (3D-CRT)
