Vaginal cancer: initial work-up

• Clinical examination +++ • Topography

• Macroscopic characteristics • Drawings +++ / vaginal impression

• Transvaginal and/or transrectal sonography : • tumour thickness BT technique

• MRI : tumour dimension, site, extension (bladder, rectum) enlarged pelvic and paraaortic nodes

• FDG-PET nodal disease twice as often as CT

• Depending on tumoral extension : anuscopy/rectoscopy / urethrocystoscopy
