Radiographic findings

• Rx:

 mostly lytic lesions  a mixture of permeative, moth-eaten or destructive patterns of the bone cortex  often reactive changes of the periosteum  demonstrates the boundaries of any extraosseous extension  indicates cortical breakthrough by the tumour  detects osteolysis, osteosclerosis and fragments of bone sequestra  more detailed extension of disease  evidence of cortical changes, intratumoural fibrosis, replacement of trabecular bone and bone marrow by tumour

 recommended for initial evaluation, staging and response assessment
