RT in PCNSL – Take home • WBRT an effective tool in many stages of treatment • Best use of RET is as low dose (24 Gy) after CR to MTX • Full dose RT after MTX is toxic in age >60 years • Chemotherapy alone in “full” MTX doses or with ASCT transplant is also toxic, but is often considered • Patients respond (yet, temporarily) to salvage with RT alone or with chemotherapy
