Plan reporting Current plan reporting (e.g. recent ASTRO recommendation) does not include ‘error bars’. If there are uncertainties in the planning procedure, they should be reflected in plan reporting. E.g., reporting the PTV dose is correct only if The margins are correct The dose distribution is invariant for traslations/rotations The dose in the PTV is homogeneous The same holds for ‘biological planning’: Uncertainty in the optimisation parameters (e.g. ‘a’) should result in a robustness analysis of the results.
