Critical-volume model

In the Critical-Volume model the summary measure is a damaged volume, calculated using a local dose-effect function E ( D i ) .

D i = total dose to bin i V i = absolute volume in bin i V tot = total organ volume

Different functions can be used, but the effect increases with dose; FSU inactivation?
