Cozzi et al. : “Faster treatments could have a clinical impact on single patients in terms of comfort on couch, immobility and minimisation of internal organ’s displacement (e.g. bladder or rectum filling changes over time). This could increase the daily treatment quality and allows also more time for imaging procedures within standard time slots . In addition, faster treatments have an impact on the system throughput allowing the possibility to treat more patients per day , and to eventually reduce waiting list for selected groups of patients.”
