Dose-volume complications relationship

– The relationship between the dose to the tissues and the clinical radiation effect can be regarded as an example of the more general relationship between the exposure to a risk factor, irradiation, and a specified outcome, the investigated complication.

– Treatment prescription and evaluation of the treatment is given in physical terms (constraints) and/or ‘ biological’- clinical (NTCP/TCP ) terms.
