3D validation of contouring with pathology

• Large deformations of resection specimen make 3D correlation with pre-operative imaging is very difficult • Lung lobes were inflated with formalin to approximate the CT volume • Registration in two steps: 1. find correct orientation of CT with sliced specimen; resample CT in the same plane 2. match macroscopic slices to CT volume

• Verify GTV volume and shape • Identify the extent of the CTV
