Skin doses in brachytherapy and external beam therapy

The current brachytherapy ( BT ) dose calculation algorithm overestimates , while the external beam radiotherapy ( EBRT ) algorithms underestimate the skin dose.

In real clinical cases the differences in skin doses between BT and EBRT are larger than the calculated ones, in favour of BT.
