CONCLUSIONS

• Radiation delivery already has potential ≤ 1 mm accuracy .

• Currently, this accuracy is not (yet) achieved in:

– Delineating the GTV during planning.

– Locating the GTV each fraction.

• Therefore, only IMAGING will allow PRECISION radiotherapy:

– Precise dose painting according to tumor cell presence, cell density and tumor characteristics.

– Treatment adaptation in a truly “individualized” manner.

• And, only PRECISION radiotherapy will allow us to survive and prosper .
