Sinogram Creation

• Lambert-Beer law is considered with some semplifications:

– No dependancy on the energy. – No detector response is modeled. – Focal spot is assumed dimensionless. – No scatter or other artifacts are considered. • Each detector measures the attenuated intensity along the direction . • The attenuation follows a negative exponential behavior and depends on the line integral of the attenuation coefficients met along that way.

• Since for each angle and detector only the structures along that path are responsible for the attenuation, the coordinates x and y can be expressed as:
