Motion management

• Respiratory gating – synchronization of the acquisition systems (CT and PET) to the patient’s respiration • Breath-hold techniques – patient is asked to hold his/her breath • Tidal breathing – patient instructed to breathe shallowly • Slow CT scan – Both PET and CT image motion blurred
