1. HDR-EBT – Procedure

- HDR Brachytherapy - Remote after-loading system using 192-Ir - Most common: single source catheter Dose prescription at 1 cm - More recently: flexible catheter with 8 channels

Selective loading possible Dose prescription at tumor radial margins (better dose penetration at the radial depth)

- Treatment time: 10 min per fraction - Curative, adjuvant and palliative treatment possible
