The Dose Volume Histogram: The Differential DVH

It is the frequency distribution of dose in a VOI (Target or OAR)

Target

For each bin e.g. [100, 103]% = [11,50 - 11,85] Gy it is the volume of the VOI (Target or OAR) in mm³ or cm³ or % of the VOI

receiving a dose value within that bin

A narrow peak indicates homogeneity!

Dose Interval divided in “bins” in cGy or Gy or %
