Comparison of perfusion techniques

• DSC

– Advantages : • the most widely used method to measure brain perfusion with MRI. • The software to postprocess these data is widely available and relatively straightforward to use. • DSC-derived relative CBV is the most widely used and robust method to evaluate brain tumors. • High SNR : whole brain < 1mn – disadvantages • difficulty in determining absolute quantification, • susceptibility artifacts (i.e., blood product, calcification, metal, air, and bone) • DCE
