INDICATIONS SURFACE TREATMENTS (Moulds, Electronic BT)

➢ Surface moulds and flaps as well as superficial radionuclide or electronic based shielded applicators are indicated on regular surfaces.

➢ Because of their limited field size isotop based or electronic BT are indicated mainly for small volume lesions.

➢ Flaps are convenient in larger superficial lesions.

➢ Customized moulds can be adapted to irregular and large surfaces.

➢ They always must be in complete contact with the surface, fixed without pressing the skin, positioned exactly on the target and be immobilized.
