Conclusions

• If RCT’s are considered not feasible to test the added value of new technologies, an alternative evidence-based method can and should be applied • The model-based approach is an evidence- based alternative for RCT’s for new radiation technologies aiming at reduction of side effects: – Protons – Other new technologies (e.g. MR-LINAC)
