Frequency of Re-irradiation

• No data on the overall frequency of re-irradiation in clinical practice • However, even in a palliative setting of spinal metastases  Re-irradiation is practiced in only few patients: − After multiple fraction RT: 8% − After Single fraction RT: SF: 20% Chow JCO 2007

Most likely explanation:  Risk / fear of severe normal tissue complications
