Biopsy

• The most adequate sampling is achieved by open biopsy • Biopsy is usually incisional , rather than excisional, and usually from the soft tissue extension of the primary bone mass • Biopsy incision is usually longitudinal , so as to not violate tissue flap planes and neurovascular structures (to facilitate surgery, when needed)
