Chemotherapy: conclusions

• Median survival of patients is 6-8 months • No evidence that chemotherapy prolongs survival • Polychemotherapy versus monochemotherapy: - Higher response rate - More toxic - No improvement in survival

• Cisplatin /5-FU • Cisplatin /paclitaxel • Methotrexate (40 mg/m2/every week)
