Robust and Adaptive Control  Both address uncertainties in a process model.  Both have been used clinically (direct/indirect):  Incorporate multiple patient-specific observations  Tune treatment following convergence of estimator  Correct systematic errors  Adjust margins for random errors.  Robust control to create plans that remain acceptable over a limited range of likely variation.
