Dialogue with COCIR

For ESTRO, a constructive exchange and continuous dialogue with corporate stakeholders plays a key role in the advancement of radiotherapy. ESTRO’s relationship with the European Coordination Committee of the Radiological, Electromedical and Healthcare IT Industry (COCIR) has been fostered for a number of years. InMarch 2017, ESTRO attended the open session of the COCIR’s general assembly, which focused on value-based healthcare. Data on radiotherapy were presented, with a focus on the balance between innovation and cost, the impact on the patient, and the importance of generating solid evidence.
