• The multicatheter applicator on moulds allows to conform the isodose to irregular surfaces, not possible with orthovoltage photons or electrons . • Full-scalp irradiation results in lower risk of excessive brain irradiation compared with external beam irradiation • The optimization techniques result in superior dose uniformity at the prescription depth with HDR surface applicators • The occupation time of the accelerators can be decreased.
