Results 268 chips were produced (189 irradiated + 79 controls).

Fig.2b reports Apoptotic/Damaged Fractions as a function of dose (single fraction) and of time after IR. For all time points there was a linear relationship between dose and DNA damage (expressed as Double Strand Breaks, DBS). The relationship between dose and apoptotic fraction could be assessed only at 2h after IR, being linear-quadratic with dose. Fig.2c-2d reports result for fractionation, DBS from “high dose/fraction” was significantly different from DBS from “low dose/fraction”, showing an increase at 3h and consistent not-repaired damage at 24h
