Conclusion:

In our study, we observed that exclusive surgery may be adequate for tumors smaller than 3 cm, yet caution is warranted when addressing larger tumors (≥ 3 cm). Adjuvant radiotherapy exhibited an statistically significant improvement in local recurrence-free survival for this sub-group. These findings indicate the need for a thoughtful assessment of tumor size in treatment decisions. While these findings point towards a potential shift in how we address treatment for larger low-risk tumors, it is important to approach these conclusions with some caution. Further, comprehensive studies with larger sample sizes are crucial to validate and generalize these results.
