The time required to contour and trim predicted results manually using the deep learning model was measured and compared.

Results:

The dose coverage for delineated LN areas according to the TMI plan had V100%, V95%, and V90% median values of 46.0% (interquartile range (IQR): 31.8 – 58.6%), 62.1% (IQR: 48.0 – 78.1%), and 73.5% (IQR: 61.3 – 89.4%), respectively. The highest V100% values were observed in the presacral (71.1%), axillary (61.2%), obturator (60.3%), and internal iliac (84.67%) LN areas. In contrast, the lowest V100% values were identified in the inguinal (13.3%), external (21.8%), and cervical (42.1%) LNs.

The median values of DCS, precision, recall, and HD95 of the trained model were 0.79 (IQR: 0.70 – 0.84), 0.83 (IQR: 0.75 – 0.89), 0.76 (IQR: 0.68 – 0.85), and 2.63 (IQR: 2.00 – 4.58), respectively.

The average time for manual contouring was 71′ 16″, whereas that for simply modified predicted contouring was 30′ 4″; the time difference between the two was statistically significant (p < 0.001).
