The 5-year loco-regional recurrence rate was 19% [±2.7%] (figure 1). In total, 24 patients experienced local T-site failure and 21 N-site failure. Five N-failures were outside the treated neck levels. Three (1%) were in the contra lateral untreated neck and all were isolated N-site failures without concomitant T-site failure - potential curable by surgery. Two N-failures were on the ipsi-lateral side but outside the irradiated levels. The remaining 16 N recurrences were all in the irradiated levels. Eight patients (3%) got distant metastases and of those, six were isolated distant failures without loco-regional recurrence. The 5-year disease specific survival was 86% [±2.6%] and overall survival was 80% [±2.9%] (figure 1).
