Results:

For the purpose of survival analysis Mantel-Cox test was applied. The median PFS for Group A (EQD2 < 37.5Gy) was 7 months (range : 5.2-8.7 months ) and that for Group B (EQD2>42.2 Gy) was 15 months (range 9.9-20.0 months) with significant p value of 0.045.

Regarding symptomatic improvement (till the point of progression), 80% of patients in Group B reported greater than 50% symptomatic relief from baseline whereas only 48.6% of patients belonging in group A reported this improvement. This degree of marked improvement shown by radiation schedules with EQD2> 42.4 Gy was found to be statistically significant on Chi square test with p value of 0.002.
