One-year, 3-years and 5-years OS rates were 94.9%, 63.8%, and 45.1%, respectively, with a median OS of 51.6 months. One-year, 3-years and 5-years LC were 79.4%, 67.8% and 67.8%, respectively. Median LC was not reached.

Factors associated with poorer OS were a worse performance status and a lesion dimension greater than 14.1 cc (median OS of 41.6 months, with respect to 68.5 months for smaller lesions).

A greater number of metastases and a biological effective dose (BED) lower than 105.6 Gy were negative predictive factors of LC.

Conclusion:

This retrospective study displayed the efficacy of SBRT in the treatment of oligomestastatic patients with colorectal cancer. Tumour volume and number of treated metastases are significant predictive factors of patient outcome. The results of this study provide valuable data to optimize radiation therapy treatments in this setting of patients.
