Ethical approval was granted 02/FEB/2023 (22/NW/0390). RAPID-RT opened to recruitment on 03/APR/2023, coinciding with the introduction of heart-sparing radiotherapy at The Christie.

Between April-September 2023, 218 patients were included in RAPID-RT (recruitment ongoing). All patients received information on RAPID-RT, with no exclusion criteria; only one patient chose to opt-out. Demographic analysis of these patients indicates 92% are age 60-80+, equal male:female, 92% have ECOG performance 1-3 and 42% live in the most socioeconomically-deprived areas (Figure 2). RWD from study participants is automatically de-identified and collected, under an approved governance structure, into the RAPID-RT database. This includes structured data on demographics, diagnosis, treatment and outcome data including toxicities from routine clinic appointments and via ePROMs.
