Conclusion:
SBRT represents a new and well-tolerated technique to achieve good local control in pulmonary metastases and primary nodules. We found that at least 6 months were required to evaluate the percentage of patients with CR, PR, and SD. In addition, the results of our study show that PET-CT scans can be a complementary radiological exam to understand the response after SBRT treatment.
Studies with a larger number of patients are needed to confirm these data.
We are currently performing an analysis of these patients to identify early predictive features for response.
